NARS Dual-Intensity Blushes

Very interesting products were released last spring (2015). I'm talking about wet/ dry blushes... interesting or scary?
While wet and dry eyeshadow formulas are not scary or weird in any way, blushes that contain, at the first glance, the same formula slighly are in the sense that we usually go for a natural looking blush application rather than super shimmery, maybe even metalic.

These blushes are created just like the Dual Intensity eyeshadows but the effects are reversed. When applied wet they give the skin a very nice sheen of colour, very subtle. If you use them dry the colour is more intense, but they don't give you that 80's overly blushed look which doesn't look flattering on anyone. So basically, they are sort of like face watercolours. The Translucent Prismatic Technology is the formula NARS came up with which means that the products have a multi-dimensional effects, but are not heavy on the skin, or look cakey, and they feel very luxurious.

Adoration, Craving, Fervor, Frenzy, Jubilation and Panic are the names of all the duos, and as you can see in the image below there are some three duos are pink - mauve toned and other three are golden - bronze. All shades are designed to suit any skin tone and they're shimmery and sparkling, no mattes. The golden tones can actually be used as highlighters, too, expecially on darker skin tones. That is why I decided to choose the duo Jubilation and do one of my adverts, the 'day look', for it.

The packaging is sleek black, white NARS logo. They have a magnetic closing system, and a mirror on the inside. The price is £30.

With special blushes comes a special that was created expecially for the wet/ dry application:

This is the advert that NARS Cosmetics posted on their Youtube channel (Mar 17 2015). It is quite playful; it starts with the brushes, then we see all six products. There is a lot of movement, all colors switch and change, and, as the product in the container is put geometrical texture, we see the products sliding along the lines (hope you get what I'm trying to explain). The background is black and white so it doesn't distract the audience from the products. No models were used, and they didn't show any looks, it was only the products.

Tilda Swinton modelled for the product line advert. As we can see, there is just a hint of colour on her cheeks, she's got the 60's eyeliner, but the rest is very pale, ghost like, and the lip colour seems to be similar to the blush shadeHer skin and hair (she is albino) are naturally very pale and they put sort of a cape over her back and used pitch black background. Personally I feel like there aren't enough shadows on her face and the image looks kind of flat as all the white/ pale tones blended into one big shillouette. She looks beautiful, but I would like to do an advert for this product because I believe the advert doesn't do justice to such an interesting product and formula. To me this looks as it is an eyeliner advert and not blush.

Because this model is extremely pale, I think I will use a model with olive or dark skin tone and create an advert that is sort of like a negative to this one. I don't know yet what kind of background or lighting I'd use, white or gray, but I might even stick with black. I really need to think. As summer is approaching I would rather use a bronze/ golden shade from the line. I will be posting a post with my advert ideas once I come up with a more structured idea because, right now, I have so many ideas and information about adverts, editorials and catwalk looks, that I need everything to fall in its place.
