Inspiration For My Editorial Shoot

Francois Nars is highly inspired by his island Motu Tane in French Polynesia. The new Tahiti Bronze summer 2016 collection is based on the island and exotic destinations in general. I think that for most spring/ summer collections and looks he was inspired by the island.Tanned skin, palm trees, sand underneath your feet and sea and sky as blue as can be.. who wouldn't be inspired. It seems like the perfect holiday and it is Nars' happy place where he feels most relaxed.  
Motu Tane is also quite close to the Bora Bora island and there are many islands and lagoons around them - gorgeous view!

Croatia is not as exotic as Bora Bora, Philipines or the Maldives, but it is beautiful nevertheless.I feel like this is something that I am so familiar with, and the sea, sun and the beach are the three things I could never live without. They are my battery chargers.  My house is just accross the street from the beach so I basically grew up in the sea. My favourite thing to do was snorkeling and looking for shiny shells. Abalone, or ear shells, are the most beautiful shells in my oppinion. They are quite plain on the outside, it is hard to notice them if they are facing that way as they blend with the rocks, but they are so pretty on the inside. They have highly iridecent green, pink,purple, gold and silver hues and they are shinier than any highlighter you can get. They also kind of look like when you see petrol spilled on the road and it reflects the sunlight.
I don't think I have seen any other shells that are similar to abalones, so I went online and looked up some of the shells - their texture and colour schemes to be precise. Texture is something that I could also easily link with NARS as they are all about the skin, which is the texture of our bodies. Each shell is different, just like us, people, and they all have their signature colours and shapes within, like people do with talents and perosnalities.
