Spring/ Summer Hairstyles - Waves & Curls

Even though natural and slightly messy hairstyles rulled the catwalks, there were a couple of brands that featured wavy (Temperley, Sonia Rykel), curly (Clover Canyon) or extremely frizzy (PPQ, Jean Paul Gaultier) hairstyles.

The low texturised ponytails at Temperley oozed a flirtatious confidence. Antonio Corral Calero, Global Moroccanoil Ambassador, used Moroccanoil Root Boost to give grip and volume before sweeping the hair up and then dishevelling it with his fingers.

This is a purely decadent 70s look. Inspired by a Studio 54 pool party, Uzo, NARS International Lead Makeup Stylist said "we loved the idea of a bold, matte mod icy-pink lip paired with shimmery eyes and soft, illuminated skin." So do we! Try the NARS Roman Holiday Lipstick to get the look.

At Stella McCartney (left), Eugene Souleiman managed to sum up the entire spring season, both in fashion and beauty, in his four-word description of the hair: "celebration of the individual." That translated to stylists sort of shrugging their shoulders toward rows of mousses, hairsprays, dry texture mists and creams when asked what the single hero product was—because there wasn't one. It meant last-minute haircuts if the mood struck. It meant models were cast for their buzz cuts and curls and not in spite of. If you've been looking for an excuse to ditch your hot tools and stop fighting your natural texture, voila!
