NARS Introduces Two New Summer 2016 Collections

This summer NARS will release two new collections; Hot Sand and Tahiti Bronze. The colours are very shimmery and all products are designed to accentuate the skin and add natural glow. 

Hot Sand Collection

The Hot Sand collection is based around one of their cult products - Hot Sand Illuminator. This illuminator is in a champagne peach shade and the products within the collection are aimed to highlight the lips, cheeks and eyes. 

There are five products within the collection; Illuminating Multiple in Hot Sand (£29), Blush Duo Hot Sand and Orgasm (£32), Bronzer/ Blush Duo in Laguna and Hot Sand (£32), Hot Sand Lip gloss (£19.50) and Hanamachi Kabuki Brush (£28). All products, apart from the Hanamachi brush are limited and will not be permanently in their stores and online.

The only image I found that was shot for this collection is this one here which follows the style of their most recent NARS Audacious Campaign with the strong contrast between the model and the background bringing all the focus to the face. It features Daria Strokous, who is one of the brands favourite models. Francois Nars took the photograph.

It is quite unusual to use such a pale skinned model for a spring/ summer campaing, however, Nars loves working with 'different' models and has a unconventional approach. As this entire collction is based around the Hot Sand illuminator, the styling is based around the 'reflecting' effect. The hair is pulled back, sleek and has a 'wet' look which reflects light, and the metal accessories do the same effect.

Tahiti Bronze Collection

The second collection has not yet been released (apparently comes out in March) so I couldn't find much information on the products or any adverts, I will add them when they come out.

After falling in love with his private island, Motu Tane, Francois Nars created a collection around the iconic Laguna Bronzer. The collection will contain Monoï Body Glow and Monoï Body Glow II body mists, as well as a Monoï Scented Candle, and new products in the Laguna shade will be the Liquid Laguna Bronzer and Laguna Tiara Bronzer.

Update: Here's the video that NARS Cosmetics has released on their Youtube channel on March 16 2016. The short video is showing the behind the secenes from the advert shoot for the collection but also the prodcuts featured in the collection. The model's skin is bronzed and glowing and she isn't wearing much make up. Her hair is slicked back into a low plait with a centre parting.
